Jovanni Carter-Davis is an Urban Designer at H3 Studio, Inc. Currently, she is assisting with the Choice Neighborhood's Transformation Plan for the City of Wellston, MO. Her past work experience includes various teaching assistant positions at Washington University in St. Louis, for the Undergraduate Final Design Studio and as a Research Assistant for the Diversity Project, which tracks and catalogs minority graduates of the Sam Fox School of Design. Jovanni participated in Community-Based Design in Pagedale, Missouri where she worked with a team of Washington University in Saint Louis students to design a pavilion to be built by the summer of 2012 for community members’ use. She met with aldermen and the city council for design input and assisted with creating a physical model, digital model and Construction Documents. She has served as an architectural librarian at the Sam Fox School of Design Material Research Library. She has done freelance design work including graphic design, branding, and fabrication. She worked as an architectural intern for Salerno/Livingston Architects in the summers of 2007, 2008, and 2009 and for Urban-West Development Construction Management in 2006. She joined H3 Studio as a research and design intern in 2014 after earning a Master of Architecture and Master of Urban Design from the Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis. She has studied at Tongji University in Shanghai China and at the Danish Institute for Study Abroad in Copenhagen.
